Presidential Joke Day stems from the infamous time on August 11, 1984 that our 40th President, Ronald Regan, joked during a mic check that we were going to “Outlaw Russia and begin bombing in 5 minutes”. The mic was on and the joke broadcasted live and needless to say, Russia was not amused. Presidential Joke Day celebrates the blunders of our highest-seated office in the United States of America.
